anymore. The property rates are rising, sensex is falling and the economy is crawling. Amidst all this, we’d find a lot of things that haven’t changed. Umm, Congress is still the same, isn’t it? The only difference being that they are now out-of-power.
Anyways, getting back to Mumbai, what according to you hasn’t changed, huh? The people, their spirit, their enthusiasm? I’d say everything has remained unchanged, apart from the infrastructure. The core, the heart and the meaning of Mumbai has remained the same throughout. What is the meaning of Mumbai you’d ask? I say, Mumbai means freedom, Mumbai means enthusiasm. Mumbai means dreams, Mumbai means emotions.
So, here are 14 things about Mumbai that haven’t changed over the years.
Something so calm, soothing and refreshing is what everyone needs. One thing that sets Mumbai apart from all the cities out there is the Sea. There’s one for every person. There’s one for every mood.
A coach, with a capacity of 150 people, cramped up with around 500 people. Is this what you’d call crowded? Local trains have always been Mumbai’s lifeline. This crowd just cannot stop people from travelling in it.
Vada-pav forms a part of every Mumbaikar’s staple diet. Well, it is just sumptuously perfect. And the ‘sukha chutney’ adds just about perfect spice to our life and well, Vada-pav also.
Every day, someone heads to Mumbai with a dream in mind and a penny in the pocket. Some succeed, some don’t. But that hasn’t stopped people from coming here. Mumbai will always be the city of dreams.
Bombay is where Bollywood started. Mumbai is where it developed. And our love for Bollywood is still as evergreen as Rajesh Khanna was.
Is there anything more refreshing than this? Hot cutting chai, in breezy monsoons and pleasant winters of Mumbai, is something that you just don’t miss.

Ah! Finally one thing you’d hate about Mumbai! Phew, traffic has always been that one aspect you wished had changed in Mumbai. But then, you’ve adjusted to this aspect.

Awwwn, Jugaad is our second name! Something will definitely pop-up, some solution, for every problem, in any case. Jugaad is something we all resort to, be it studies or be it life!
Ahem, *sarcasm alert* Mumbaikars love Delhi. The love is so genuine, that the rivalry never stops. Well, everything has to be compared with Delhi, Food, buildings, transport, travel, people, every damn thing.
AND, and, and, Mumbai always wins.
