Joule KC: Bombay is an emotion, not just a city!

Bombay, Mumbai, Bambaiiiiiii! Whatever the name, here’s where people have ‘earned’ fame! Mumbai, it’s a treasure hunt, hunt for the ‘key,’ the ‘Key to unlock their treasured dreams.’ Let’s rewind a bit and talk about dreams. In 1989, a young cricketer from ‘Bombay’ launched himself to the cricketing arena! We now know him as the ‘God of Cricket.’ Going along similar lines, Shreyas Iyer is climbing the stairs of stardom, Shreyas from ‘Mumbai.’

As years passed by, Bombay gradually became Mumbai, V.T became C.S.T. Trams went dysfunctional but in came the Metro! Amidst all these changes, there’s one thing that remained the same, something that defines Mumbai- the Spirit, Emotion & Dreams of every Mumbaikar! It is aptly said, Bombay is not just a city, it’s an Emotion!

Here’s why Bombay is an emotion and not just a city!

1. Life in Mumbai isn’t easy, but then, what is? Mumbai teaches you. It teaches you to adjust and deal with everything that comes your way.

2. Because you can always sense the fact, that there’s something, something new coming your way at every turn. It never ceases to Surprise!

3. There’s a beach for everyone, every mood, at anytime-any day. The Sea is your constant companion and you know that!

4. Because at every corner, you find an inspirational story being stitched, bit by bit into a completed dream.

5. Where else would you find people of all castes, creed, religion and sex enjoying together, in the same place, sitting together & enjoying a meal!

6. Mumbai is crowded, yes! Over-crowded, definitely. But, with emotion, passion & redemption and not people.

7. Where else would you find a new face, waiting outside a film studio or a director’s bungalow every day, just to be heard, just for that single break into stardom?

8. And then there is Nawazuddin Siddiqui & SRK who waited patiently, worked their way up and ruled Bollywood.

9. Dozens of people enter into this ‘Mayanagri’ every second, with just a dream and nothing more than a penny in their pockets.

10. Well, the Local trains define Mumbai! Be it rich or poor, each one of them travel in the same train, the same compartment, neck to neck, knocking their shoulders!
