Why so pseudo?

Since 600 years, the country of China, pompously celebrates “The Yulin Festival” where thousands and thousands of dogs are killed and eaten. How inhuman!

World over, this act is being condoned and looked down-upon as barbaric. Rightly so! But what about millions of other animals who are being slaughtered daily for food and fun? Are chickens, pigs, goat and cows any different than the dogs? Do they not suffer the same amount of pain and agony when slaughtered?

Just because the dog is “a man’s best friend” should he get preference over others? The worldwide protest against the Yulin Festival is inspiring and remarkable but shouldn't all life be treated as equal. This is like saying one human race should be preferred over others! How absurd and narrow, this kind of thinking is!

Science has proved that animals, just like us feel pain, fear and sorrow and some of the species even exhibit these emotions. For instance, it has been found that goats who are going to be slaughtered, stop eating a few days prior.

Any person with a bit of sincerity and emotion will not kill any animal unless absolutely necessary, and never to please his pallet and satisfy his primitive instincts!

Does humanity extend only to the animals that can be pet? It starts with parity. That is when we start being real and not pseudo.
